The research aimed to examine the impact of operational planning on the performance of mobile service providers in Nigeria. Employing a survey research design, the study utilized a multistage sampling technique to gather primary data from a sample of 350 randomly chosen employees representing the workforce of the four major mobile network operators in Nigeria—MTN, Globacom, Airtel, and 9 Mobile—comprising the study’s target population. The analysis of the collected data involved the application of descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings from the regression analysis revealed a positive and statistically significant (p < 0.05) correlation between operational planning and business growth within Nigeria’s mobile communication sector. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that tactical planning is a substantial contributor to business growth in the telecom sector in Nigeria. The study suggests that Nigerian mobile service providers should invest in refining their Operational Planning processes, regularly assess their strategies, foster a culture of continuous improvement, engage in employee training, collaborate with industry peers, and stay updated with technological advancements. This will not only contribute to individual organizational growth but also positively impact the broader mobile service ecosystem....

People often wonder why physically attractive individuals seem to enjoy numerous benefits. In the contemporary landscape, AI-generated characters are gaining popularity, often selected for their physical attractiveness. This study adopts a persuasion-attitude perspective, utilizing the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), to uncover the reasons behind the persuasive impact of physical attractiveness and the subsequent favorable decisions made by individuals. Employing structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques, the study conducted a multi-group analysis with a sample of 134 recruiters in the food and beverage industry. The key findings reveal that while recruiters tend to prefer hiring physically attractive applicants due to affective information processing, the moderator role of recruiters’ need for cognition can significantly mitigate this stereotype premium. These findings have important implications for future research and practice. Understanding the interplay between physical attractiveness, cognitive processing, and decision-making process can contribute to the development of strategies to promote fair and objective decision-making processes....
As groups of professionals that defend their own interests, professional associations must improve their organizational performance on both individual and collective levels. However, members’ diversity, lack of interaction and difficulties in creating and diffusing information have prevented these organizations from achieving their goals. These aims may include: lobbying, scheduling and pricing production, improving product and process quality as well as promoting consumption and exports by seeking out new markets. The governance of professional associations is frequently responsible for the success or failure of a sector. As such, this paper considers how some countries develop a strategic sector by building a solid foundation for professional associations’ development. The existing bibliography as well as a specific benchmark of two emergent countries were used in this research to determine the key success factors of organizational performance in the poultry sector. The benchmark indicated that integrated production systems and strategies focused on the search for added value. Diversification (halal markets in the Middle East); aggregation (performance-based service contracts) and partnerships with production-technique leaders (especially in Japan); and territorial organization and compartmentalization (one industrial aggregator per region buying from multiple breeders) are the three key success factors of the poultry sector. Our paper aims to develop a governance approach of organizational performance to provide African leaders (particularly Moroccan leaders) of professional associations, especially in the poultry sector, a model to follow in the light of the creation of the African Poultry Confederation....
